Hewitt sits on the blackland shelf south of Waco, where subdivisions along Hewitt Drive and Sun Valley Boulevard give way to small acreage within a mile or two. A lot of our work here is the in-between kind: someone has bought five or twenty acres off Spring Valley Road, wants a horse or a few head of cattle on it, and needs fence that does the job without looking like a feedlot from the county road.

Drainage matters here too. Several Hewitt neighborhoods sit uphill of the pastures below them, so a fence line crossing a draw takes more runoff than the acreage alone would suggest. We build those low spots as gaps that can be rehung rather than stretches that wash out.
